While Black Widow is the main focus of Marvel Studios marketing, for now, we still have Eternals to look forward to next year. We don't have any official trailers or teasers dropped yet, but Kingo actor Kumail Nanjiani (Silicon Valley) has just posted up his complete body transformation on IG.
Seeing that Nanjiani's strength has always been his knack for comedy, I didn't expect that Marvel would want him to completely transform himself like this, but just like with Chris Pratt and Paul Rudd, even funny guys need to go through the MCU super soldier machine to be part of the universe. I guess fans should have seen this coming since the final season of Silicon Valley already teased us with Nanjiani's slowly growing guns.
With Guardians of the Galaxy being our door into MCU Cosmic, Eternals promises to delve more into that world. What's more, we would actually be getting more of history for the MCU as well, seeing as this movie is said to span for millennia.
We don't know when Marvel studios plans to give us our first official look at Eternals, but with a release date for November of next year, we should probably have to wait for a while longer. For now, it looks like the focus will be on the release of Black Widow, then The Falcon and The Winter Soldier series in the fall. If anything, we might get our first Eternals teaser after Widow comes out in May.
Catch Nanjiani in Marvel's Eternals when it hits theaters Nov. 6, 2020.
