What Is The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess About?
After spending three years confined to her hikikomori lifestyle, the vampire Terakomari Gandesblood, known as Komari, wakes up to a surprising revelation.
She has been assigned as a commander within the Mulnite Imperial Army.
But her unit is comprised entirely of unruly troublemakers, quick to rebel at any sign of weakness from their superiors.
Despite hailing from a prestigious line of powerful vampires, Komari’s repulsion toward blood consumption had made her the poster child of mediocrity.
She is frail, uncoordinated, and lacks any magical prowess. With the odds stacked against her, can her loyal and somewhat enamored maid, Villhaze, provide enough support to stumble her way to victory?
Who Does Komari End Up With in The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess?
Komari has been a shut-in for three years, and it shows that she doesn’t really like meeting new people, let alone romancing others.
In this yuri anime series, our protagonist is seemingly not gay and has no interest in romance.
Moreover, the light novel series is still ongoing so it is likely that Komari might change her mind and end up with one of the characters.
But let’s have a look at who is interested in our main protagonist.
Early in the series, Komari comes in contact with Villhaze, who is a junior lieutenant in the Mulnite Imperial Army.
As a shut-in, Komari is repulsed by the mere presence of another individual in her room. Turns out, Villhaze has been appointed to be Komari’s personal maid.
Villhaze's affection for Komari is evident, yet the vampire princess does not reciprocate romantic feelings for her.
Villhaze occasionally drops suggestive hints, some more explicit than others, to convey her attraction towards Komari.
In Episode 2 of The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess, Villhaze welcomed Komari in the morning, dressed in a conspicuously provocative outfit.
Komari called her out and told her that she found it weird. It will be interesting to see how Villhaze and Komari’s relationship pans out as the series progresses.
Karen Helvetius, the kingdom's Empress, also doesn’t miss a chance to tease and flirt with Komari. But Komari doesn’t return Karen’s advances.
So, for now, Komari doesn’t have any romantic partners in The Vexations of a Shut-In Vampire Princess.
