Koikimo, animated by Studio Nomad is based on the josei manga series of the same name by Mogusu published in Ichijinsha's Comic POOL digital manga magazine since 2015 with seven tankōbon volumes compiled. The anime series has 12 episodes lined up this season in a single-cour.
Based on the manga series, Ryō Amakusa is a highly eligible bachelor, a womanizer, who meets the girl he finally thinks is the one through his sister, Rio. The close friend of Rio, Ichika Arima, took his heart into a whirlwind despite being turned off when he asked her for a kiss and a date on the very first day they encountered each other.

What happened in Koikimo Episode 4?
In Koikimo Episode 4, On This Holy Night, the holidays are approaching as well as the school trip. Rio, Ichika, and their friends are talking about love. When Ichika was asked, she described that the man he likes is exactly everything the opposite of Ryō.
Ichika and Tamaru had a conversation about Ryō and Ichika and she said they are not going out. Tamaru then came across Rio who asked him about what happened at the convenience store and if Ryō and Ichika were together that night. Tamaru grabbed the chance by asking her about Ryō and Ichika and said that Ryō has a hard crush on Ichika.
Later in the episode, Ryō met Ichika as Rio left Ichika there. Ichika, in turn, gave Ryō a present and thanked him for what he did when she was sick. Ichika gave him a tie clip which he immediately put on. Ryō seems extremely happy and he gave Ichika his present as well. When she opened it, it was a first-press limited edition of Forward World including an exclusive keychain and she bursts in happiness.
It was Rio all along, the one who gave them the idea for their Christmas presents and because of that, they went home and gave Rio a cake telling her they want to have a Christmas party with her. Ryō showed his cooking skills and it seems Ichika liked it so much.
