Kingdom Hearts 3 Won't Have Any Surprise Disney Worlds

Kingdom Hearts 3 is 25 days away and it feels so far away, even though the game is nearer than it's ever been. Granted, some fans already have access to the game due to some leaked copies making their way to the public but most of us are waiting for the action RPG to come out properly. Fans have been pleasantly surprised by the number of worlds and content that has been confirmed but they might be disappointed to know that there will be no surprise Disney worlds.

That's right, the previously announced worlds will be the only ones available during launch. While there might be DLC that adds more Disney worlds in the future, fans are currently out of luck if they were hoping to see more than the previously announced franchises.

During an interview Newsweek had with co-director Tai Yasue, he revealed that there are no more surprised worlds coming from the Disney side of things. This isn't all bad since there might also be more Square Enix-like worlds, with Twilight Town getting confirmed last year. Expect something like Hollow Bastion to be in the game, hopefully with some Final Fantasy characters.

For those that need a refresher, here are the confirmed worlds announced for Kingdom Hearts 3:

- Big Hero 6
- Frozen
- Hercules
- Monsters Inc.
- Pirates of the Caribbean
- Tangled
- Toy Story
- Winnie the Pooh

Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out on PS4 and Xbox One on January 29.
