Kingdom Hearts 3 Nintendo Switch Port Under Consideration

Kingdom Hearts 3 has been a rousing success thus far, despite the common complaints about the game's convoluted storyline. It's a fair but tired criticism and that won't stop fans from having fun with the game, especially with the wicked combat system. Many fans wondered why the game was released on Xbox One since the console doesn't have the previous HD collections like the PS4 does, though those same fans want it on Switch.

During an interview with the game's director Tetsuya Nomura, Famitsu (via NewsWeek) asked the series creator if the game will be coming to Nintendo Switch anytime soon. Interestingly enough, Nomura said that it's under consideration and they will think about releasing it on other systems now that the PS4 and Xbox One versions have been released.

Considering how the Switch is about to get some Final Fantasy love, it would be nice to see the Kingdom Hearts games come to this system as well. It's worth noting that games like Final Fantasy XV are a little too powerful for the Switch, so something visually stunning like Kingdom Hearts 3 could prove to be a challenge.

Then again, Doom and Wolfenstein II were able to find a company that could port the game properly. Hopefully, Square Enix finds a way to bring this game to the system whilst also making it playable. We don't want another WWE 2K18 situation.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is available now on PS4 and Xbox One. Square Enix seriously needs to release the other games on Xbox One.
