King K. Rool and Two Belmonts from Castlevania Join Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

The latest Nintendo Direct centered on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate just ended and fans are ecstatic. Many are happy about the new modes that will be in the game, a number of which will be perfect for multiplayer gaming. However, Nintendo shocked fans everywhere when two new characters were announced, three if you count Echo Fighters.

At the start of the Direct, Simon Belmont from Castlevania was announced as the latest third-party character to join this game's massive roster. The vampire hunter can use his whips, crosses, holy water, and so much more to take down foes. His relative Richter Belmont was confirmed as an Echo Fighter, meaning that he will have the same moves as Simon.

Nintendo then shocked fans a second time at the end of the trailer by announcing King K. Rool as another new fighter. Fans of Donkey Kong Country and the terrible cartoon based on the games will be familiar with this villain, who has a hulking figure and plenty of devastating attacks.

Both characters will be very good additions to the Smash roster and fans will be pleased if they are the last fighters to join. Granted, many still want Waluigi to be a part of it but don't hold your breath. He could always be DLC.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate comes to the Nintendo Switch on December 7.
