Netflix Korean movie 20th Century Girl tackles the beauty and heartbreak of first love, and actress Kim You Jung recently reflected on her character, Na Bo Ra.
On October 6, Netflix dropped the highly anticipated movie featuring Kim You Jung and Byeon Woo Seok.
20th Century Girl explores the life of a teen girl who starts gathering information about a schoolmate on behalf of her best friend. While doing so, she meets another man whom she falls in love with.

Kim You Jung Chooses Between Love and Friendship
The Lovers of the Red Sky actress had an interview with The Korea Times on Tuesday, where she spoke about her career and recent project.
According to Kim You Jung, she went through a phase where she was confused and emotionally unstable. Fortunately, she helped herself grow stronger while doing the things she loved the most.
When asked what she would choose between love and friendship, the A-list star said she would choose the latter.

"If I were in Bo-ra's position, I, too, would choose friendship over love. I loved going to school. In fact, I was very active in school activities, performing talent shows with my friends and hanging out with them after work. Luckily, I have all good memories from school," she said.
Kim You Jung started her career at an early age. Thus, she missed experiencing school activities and having friends in school.
For what it’s worth, the now-23-year-old started her career at the age of four. She then debuted as a child actress at the age of six in Sympathy for Lady Vengeance.
Kim You Jung Showers Han Hyo Joo With Love
Before wrapping up the interview, Kim You Jung mentioned Han Hyo Joo, who portrayed the adult version of Na Bo Ra.
She revealed that she and the actress did not have to film a scene together. However, she reportedly experienced her love and support while doing the movie as the Happiness star visited her frequently on the set and told her to call her whenever she needed help with acting.
Kim You Jung, in the end, expressed the overwhelming feeling she felt after the movie became a global success. Per the actress, she did not expect to receive such positive feedback.
20th Century Girl is still available on Netflix.
