Many are filled with excitement and anticipation as SBS shared an enthralling new teaser for the upcoming Kdrama Lovers of the Red Sky. Not only did the forthcoming series mark the return of Love in the Moonlight actress Kim Yoo Jung on the small screen, but the unique storyline and chemistry between the lead characters also piqued everyone's interest.
Lovers of the Red Sky is a historical fantasy romance drama based on a novel of the same name. Artist Jung Eun Gwol penned the novel, and he has also worked with Sungkyungkwan Scandal and The Moon Embracing The Sun, both adapted into hit Kdrama series.
The series is set during the Joseon era. A genius female painter named Hong Cheon Gi is chosen to be the first female painter of the Korean Royal Academy of Painting. Hong Cheon Gi staying at the royal academy led her to cross paths with a blind astrologer named Ha Ram.
Lovers of the Red Sky will feature a romantic atmosphere between two young lovers who patiently accompany each other to the happiness they deserve.

Kim Yoo Jung, Ahn Hyo Seop, Gong Myung Charm In New Teaser For Lovers Of The Red Sky
The new teaser released for the SBS Kdrama Lovers of the Red Sky features an exciting love triangle between Hong Cheon Gi, Ha Ram, and Prince Yangmyung. The video begins with Hong Cheon Gi and Ha Ram facing each other. The young astrologer fascinates with his beautiful red eyes, to which Hong Cheon Gi confesses, "Your eyes are beautiful."
The complement isn't taken by Ha Ram and replies that people call him a monster because of his eyes. But Hong Cheon Gi repeats that his eyes are beautiful then, making the most genuine and warm smile.

Creating an interesting attraction, Hong Cheon Gi and Prince Yangmyung present unusual chemistry. Prince Yangmyung nicely introduces himself as a royal, to which Hong Cheon Gi burst into laughter. Seeing him in ragged clothes makes him look nothing similar to how he introduced himself. Hong Cheon Gi's honesty attracted Prince Yangmyung, and we all know this will lead to an interesting story.
In another scene, Ha Ram sees Prince Yangmyung carrying Hong Cheon Gi on his back under pouring rain. Ha Ram approaches the two and politely says, "I apologize, Your Highness. But, she made a promise to me first."

The new teaser heralded scenes of affection and bickering between Hong Cheon Gi and Prince Yangmyung, as well as the young woman's relationship with Ha Ram. This just made viewers even more excited for the drama's release.
Meanwhile, Lovers of the Red Sky is scheduled to premiere on August 30, 2021. The imminent series will be broadcasted on SBS every Monday and Tuesday at 10:00 PM KST. The Kdrama will also be available for international fans for online streaming through the platforms Viki and Viu.
