Avid followers of Kim Seon Ho were pleased to learn that the 35-year-old South Korean actress will be starring in his first-ever movie. On September 6, it was reported that the Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha actor has decided to appear in Sad Tropic and is, currently, in the middle of coordinating the details.
SALT Entertainment, which is the official talent management of Kim Seon Ho, confirmed that the actor is affirmative with the casting offer. Producing director Park Hoon Jung, who produced popular movies such as The Witch: Part 1, V.I.P., and New World, will direct the forthcoming movie.
Besides Kim Seon Ho, there are no other cast members named as of this writing. However, there are rumors that actress Marian Rivera will be joining the South Korean star to play his Filipino mom while Yeong Jung Hoon is said to play the father.
For starters, Sad Tropics centers on a man who has a Korean father and a Filipino mom. The character of Kim Seon Ho wants to become a boxer and comes to South Korea to find his dad who abandoned him.
While it is not impossible for Marian Rivera to appear in Sad Tropic, it should be noted that nothing is set in stone yet. So, avid followers of Kim Seon Ho and the wife of Dingdong Dantes should take these speculations lightly until everything is proven true and correct.
Kim Seon Ho, Shin Min Ah's Characters Getting Closer In Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha
Meanwhile, the previous episode of Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha featured Kim Seon Ho and Shin Min Ah's characters getting closer to each other. Hye Jin attended a village event and pretended to get drunk so she can go home early. Du Sik carried Hye Jin home.
Prior to that, Du Sik rushed into Hye Jin's dental clinic after he learned that there was a sexual harassment offender. Though he does not work on his rest days, Du Sik ran barefoot to make sure she was fine. The increasing romantic atmosphere between the two has fans anticipating the next step in their relationship.
In new teaser snaps for Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 6, Hye Jin and Du Sik are seen eating at a restaurant together. Though the pair is just sharing a meal, people around them feel some romantic tension between them. The two even made heart-fluttering eye contact with each other.
Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha Episode 6 is set to premiere on Sept. 11 at 9 p.m. KST. It will be shown on Netflix a few minutes later.
