Kim Seon Ho Holds Back Tears During 1st Appearance Since His Controversies Emerged

Kim Seon Ho hardly contained his tears during his first-ever appearance since his ex-girlfriend dropped allegations against him.

The sudden success of Kim Seon Ho also led to his sudden drop as he lost everything after his ex-girlfriend disclosed the issues she had against him.

For what it’s worth, his ex-girlfriend, Choi Young-Ah, made a damaging revelation about their relationship. She alleged that the actor urged her to abort their baby to save his career.


Although he lost most of his deals, he still scored a few projects that could help him get back to the spotlight.

Kim Seon Ho Emotional During Return

On July 20, the former 2 Days and 1 Night cast member appeared during the press call of his new play, Touching the Void.


Speaking in front of the press at Daehak-ro Art One Theater, Seoul, for the Q&A, Kim Seon Ho went up to the stage while holding the statement he wrote in advance.

As quoted by SBS News, the actor said he wrote everything since he was too nervous to say anything. He also took his time to apologize again for what happened.

"I'm so sorry to stand in front of you like this before today's event. Many people put effort on this play from spring to summer of this year. I'm sorry for the team because I feel like I'm bringing concerns to everyone,” he tearfully said. "I'm sincerely sorry for causing concerns to many people. Looking back on my life, I reflected on my wrongdoings. I will try to become a better actor as well as a better person in the future."

Touching the Void serves as his first project since the allegations came out. He plays the role of Joe Simpson in the Korean adaptation of the play that explores the lives of two British adventures, Joe Simpson and Simon Yates, who almost died while on their way to the summit of Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes.

Kim Seon Ho To Star in Sad Tropics

Aside from Touching the Void, Kim Seon Ho will soon star in his first-ever movie after wrapping Hometown Cha Cha Cha.


Per Star1, the actor chose to focus on one movie this year.

"According to Kim Seon-ho's aide, he will not engage in any other acting activities except for the schedule for the movie [Sad Tropics], which is currently filming this year. The same goes for the advertising industry. Kim Seon-ho's side is politely rejecting new advertising offers as well as renewing contracts with brands he is currently working as a model,” it said.

Kim Seon Ho’s fans remained hopeful that he would soon get back up fully again.
