Kim Sejeong spoke candidly about her chemistry with her A Business Proposal co-star, Ahn Hyo Seop, after the success of the K-drama.
The recently wrapped webtoon-based drama, A Business Proposal, tells the story of an office employee who goes on a blind date with her company’s CEO on her friend’s behalf. But during the meeting, she hides her identity and introduces herself as Shin Geum Hee.
Kim Sejeong plays the role of Shin Ha Ri, who pretends to be Shin Geum Hee, who is in an open relationship with Ahn Hyo Seop’s Kim Tae Moo, the company’s CEO.
After the rollercoaster journey, the female lead shared her thoughts about Ahn Hyo Seop and the chemistry they showed as an on-screen couple.
Kim Sejeong Reflects on Chemistry Between Her, Ahn Hyo Seop
Most K-dramas have 16 episodes, but A Business Proposal only had 12. Despite that, Kim Sejeong and Ahn Hyo Seop managed to show chemistry that won people’s hearts.
In a new interview, the former gugudan member said she is very thankful for the exceptional scenes she shared with her co-star.

“Our romance chemistry was very good. Very. Thankfully, a lot of the scenes that garnered lots of interest were scenes that we created with improvisations. The fact that we were able to fill the romance with improvisations means that our chemistry was really good,” she said.
Kim Sejeong added that Ahn Hyo Seop had been a considerate actor who always understood things. The Dr. Romantic 2 actor reportedly suggested cutting out the scenes that could make her uncomfortable as Shin Ha Ri or herself.
Kim Sejeong Reveals Truth About Kiss Scene
Elsewhere in the interview, she talked about the fan-favorite kiss scene, revealing that it was actually improvised. The scene in question features Kim Tae Moo surprising Shin Ha Ri with a kiss.
Per the actress, the scene did not exist at all. Although the director already suggested it, Ahn Hyo Seop was reportedly the first one to say that his character would have kissed Shin Ha Ri in that particular scene.
While the scene could have been awkward, the two stars were able to do it comfortably – and it made A Business Proposal more successful.
