When the Infinity Saga finally culminated in 2019 via Avengers: Endgame, a lot of fans were under the impression that it also marks the end of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Obviously, that wasn't the case and it's quite evident that we've barely scratched the surface as the studio still has a lot of stories left to be told. However, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige is now offering an interesting update with regards to the future of the Earth's Mightiest Heroes in the franchise.

Appearing on the latest installment of the mini-documentary series Marvel Studios Assembled centered on Eternals (via ComicBook), Feige made an intriguing speech about the future of the billion-dollar franchise and how Endgame serves as the "final" Avengers film. He explains: "Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe is now past their tenth anniversary and with the release of the final Avengers movie, we've finally completed a 22-movie Infinity Saga."

Feige didn't exactly go into details as to what he meant by his statement which could easily be taken out of context. My guess is that Marvel Studios will be dropping the "Avengers" title from its future films now that other teams like Eternals, Fantastic Four, and X-Men exist in the franchise. I'm pretty sure that the Earth's Mightiest Heroes will continue to be the focal point of the MCU in the coming years.

Marvel Studios Assembled's latest episode is now available for streaming exclusively on Disney+.
