Considering Marvel Studios already laid out its plans for the upcoming phases of the MCU, it would be safe to assume that the franchise will continue its reign for another 10 or maybe even 20 years. However, a new rumor claims that as the Marvel film and television universe expands, the man behind all of it is already thinking about laying low and possibly leaving.

According to a new scoop from the folks over at Giant Freakin Robot, Feige is considering stepping down from his role as Marvel Studios boss and leaving the franchise altogether. The outlet's source claims that Feige is looking to make his MCU exit following Avengers: Secret Wars which is the final film of Phase 6.

Of course, it's best to take this rumor with a grain of salt but it's worth mentioning that Feige is currently working on a mystery Star Wars project, and assuming it's not a one-off film, there's no way he'll be able to juggle work on two franchises at the same time. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

The MCU's Phase 6 will culminate with Avengers: Secret Wars which is currently slated for release in November 2025.
