The entire Marvel fandom is still buzzing about the possibility of Tom Holland's third Spider-Man film becoming the Marvel Cinematic Universe equivalent of Sony's Into the Spider-Verse. Rumors have been circulating since last year that both Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield have signed on to reprise their roles as our favorite web-slinging hero.

You may recall that Sony has already debunked reports linking Maguire and Garfield to the project but that didn't stop webheads from speculating considering the yet-to-be-titled Spider-Man 3 would see the return of non-MCU villains like Jamie Foxx's Electro and Alfred Molina's Doc Ock.

Now, Marvel Studios' patriarch Kevin Feige is sounding off amid the growing speculation surrounding the film or what he would like to refer to as Homecoming 3. In an interview with ComicBook to hype up Phase 4's first offering WandaVision, Feige finally addressed the rumors and while he didn't exactly give away much, the update he gave was quite intriguing, to say the least.

He said: "I've read some things. I'm not sure I've read all things. The fun thing about online speculation when it comes to our stuff is how sometimes it couldn't be more off the mark and sometimes it's shockingly close, and that's held true for the last few years. But saying which is which would take all the fun out of everything."

Of course, it's only natural for him to play it coy and not reveal much about the film but hopefully, Homecoming 3 leads to something big. I've stressed this countless times in the past, they can't afford to lose the opportunity of creating quite possibly the best live-action Spider-Man film in existence.

Homecoming 3 is slated for release this December.
