Keri Russell Teases New Details About Star Wars: Episode IX Character

We have yet to learn everything there is to know about Star Wars: Episode IX. For now, Keri Russell has some interesting details to share about her mysterious character in the film but still manages to avoid leaking any potential spoilers.

Russell was recently a guest on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert where the host tried his best to get the Americans star to drop some spoilers. She did, however, admit that getting a role in Episode IX had somehow impressed her 11-year-old son River, who Russell claims is pretty hard to impress. In addition to that, the new Star Wars actress revealed something about her character.

"I do have the coolest costume, I will say that," Russell admitted. However, when Colbert asked what it was, she said she couldn't tell him. Nevertheless, the host had some interesting theories about Russell's character ranging from her being a Russian spy with several wigs (does that sound familiar to you?) to possibly being Chewbacca's sister Chewbecky.

Although Russell refuses to share anything more, an Episode IX leak may have revealed her character's name and costume. A previous report indicated that Russell is playing Zorii who appears to be a bounty hunter of sorts. This is certainly different from previous theories that she is one of the Knights of Ren.

The official title and trailer for Episode IX have yet to be revealed. However, there is a huge possibility that these will be announced at the upcoming Star Wars Celebration in Chicago. There is no word yet on whether Russell will be attending the event.

Star Wars: Episode IX is scheduled for release on December 20.
