Keanu Reeve's previous revelation that he was once in talks for a potential involvement in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has sparked major discussion within the community. Now, fans of the MCU who have been clamoring to see Reeves get cast in a Marvel role believe that it's only a matter of time before the Hollywood icon joins the billion-dollar franchise.

According to Reeves himself, while he did have discussions with Kevin Feige, nothing ever came to fruition because they weren't able to find something that would appeal to the John Wick actor during the time.

Now, it looks like Keanu is finally MCU-bound and according to the folks over at Giant Freakin Robot, the star of The Matrix franchise has landed a secret role in the MCU. The outlet claims that the 57-year-old actor will be making his official debut in a feature film, instead of a Disney+ series as previously speculated.

They also claim that this is one of Marvel's "big" secret castings and it's unlikely that it'll be announced anytime soon. Of course, just like any other rumor, you better take this one with a huge grain of salt.

Keanu joining the MCU is definitely a huge pipe dream for a lot of fans but honestly, I don't see him playing a hero in the franchise considering his age. I feel like Marvel Studios would cast him in a villain role similar to Christian Bale and Cate Blanchett but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Meanwhile, Keanu Reeves is set to appear in John Wick 4, hitting cinemas in March 2023.
