Karen Gillan Teases Nebula and Thanos' Confrontation in Avengers: Endgame

With Avengers: Endgame coming out on April next year, it seems like we're officially saying goodbye to a big part of the MCU. After all, it was the very first Avengers movie that showed Marvel wasn't crazy for making a cinematic universe and has resulted in numerous studios trying to emulate this very same formula. This might be the final Avengers movie but we've all been debating over one big plot point; who should kill Thanos?

Should it be Thor? The God of Thunder who lost half of his people to The Mad Titan? Or should it be Nebula? Who has been tortured by her father for years and is now a mechanical being as a result of all the abuse?

If this interview with actress Karen Gillan is anything to go by, it looks like we will be getting a confrontation between Nebula and Thanos. Does that mean she will kill him? We aren't sure but Gillan seems to be hinting at something big.

Talking with PEOPLE, Gillan confirmed that Nebula has "daddy issues" and Thanos is her father, whether she likes it or not. Actually, she was probably abducted like Gamora was but now is not the time for that. Point is, Nebula needs to tear Thanos a new one.

"What can I say? Thanos is her dad and she is definitely going to confront some serious daddy issues. That's for sure."

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is one of the stronger sequels that the MCU has produced and it has done a stellar job at characterizing some of the franchise's heroes, including Nebula. Now that we know her backstory with Gamora, we want her to kill Thanos and make him pay for what he's done.

Thor killing him would be cool too though.

Avengers: Endgame comes out on April 26.
