Karen Gillan Is Not Sure If She'll Return After Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3

One of the MVPs in the MCU has been Karen Gillan as Nebula starting with the first Guardians of the Galaxy and we saw her progress in each of her appearances in the franchise. A lot of fans have been wondering if we'll see more of her beyond Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 and now it looks like we may have the answer.

In her recent Instagram post, Gillan revealed that she has wrapped filming for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. In her caption, she shared that she is not yet sure if her character will ever return to another MCU project afterward, but she thanked director James Gunn for giving her the opportunity on bringing the character to life.

She wrote, "And that’s a wrap on Nebula in Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 3!!!!! I don’t know if Nebula will return beyond this, it’s possible that this is her final chapter. And if that’s the case, then I just want to say thank you to @jamesgunn for giving me such an interesting, complex and fascinating character to play. I have enjoyed this exploration more than any other character I’ve played. That was one hell of a decade. Thanks for watching."

So far, we know that Nebula will show up in Thor: Love and Thunder and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 which are both expected since she is now officially part of the team. Gunn has been hinting that the third film might be the last one for the team and there is a possibility that it will be Gillan's last turn in the franchise.

Obviously, we will never know yet if Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will end up becoming Gillan's last appearance in the MCU. If she ends up getting killed, we can definitely say that it will be her last hurrah. If she survived by the end, we will definitely see her in more MCU projects after the third film. Either way, we've already witnessed how great Gillan is in the MCU.
