KARA is seemingly gearing up to surprise their fans on their 15th debut anniversary.

Through The First Blooming, KARA introduced their then-quartet members to the public. They initially felt so much pressure as they were considered the successors of their popular labelmate, FIN.K.L.

But despite their popularity, they continuously lost their members – with Nicole and Jiyoung leaving the group in 2014 and Seunghee in 2008. The group resumed its promotions after Youngji joined during the Mamma Mia era, but it did not take them a long time until they officially disbanded.

After their 15th anniversary, the group sparked rumors that they might have a special project to mark the milestone.

KARA Preparing For 15th Anniversary Project

On Tuesday, industry representatives disclosed that the members met on June 13 to discuss the possibility of having a digital single. They reportedly want to have various activities, as well.

The sources also disclosed that DSP Media would cooperate with RBW to push through with the project.

“Since all the members’ agencies are different and each agency cannot have the same needs, they are in a situation where specific discussions need to be made. The members have great affection for KARA, and they really appear to want to do a one-time event to celebrate the meaningful year [marking their] 15th anniversary,” the representative said.

DSP Media has since offered a hint about the potential comeback. Per the agency, KARA’s activities remain under discussion, and no update has been confirmed yet.

The news came after their fans celebrated the special day by creating a subway ad featuring the original and the last members of the group.

KARA Receives Supports From Fans

KARA member Seungyeon notably shared the photos of the ads online. She expressed her gratitude by bowing until her hair touched the floor. It also surprised the fans since the posters still include images of the late Goo Hara.

The late member was found dead at her home in November 2019. Months later, her ex-boyfriend was arrested for blackmailing her over NSFW videos that played a huge role in her apparent suicide.

“Thank you. Love you so much,” Seungyeon captioned.

Other members – including Gyuri, Nicole, and Jiyoung – also shared the photos on their respective Instagram pages.
