Kang Soo Yeon, a multi-awarded South Korean actress, was found unconscious following a cardiac arrest.
Fans of Kang Soo Yeon were left worried after reports about her health emerged. Multiple news outlets confirmed that the actress, who was at her some in southern Seoul, faced a near-death experience due to an emergency health condition.

Kang Soo Yeon Hospitalized: Actress Suffered Cardiac Arrest
Yonhap News Agency detailed that the actress’ family found her unconscious around 5:40 p.m. on Thursday inside her home in Apgujeong, Gangnam, in Seoul. Her family immediately called the 119 emergency hotline and asked for assistance.
Local emergency service disclosed that the first responders found her in a state of cardiac arrest at 5:48 p.m. and immediately gave her CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation).
As they tried regaining her pulse, they immediately transported her to a medical facility for treatment. The actress remains unconscious as of press time.

Before complaining to her family members about an unknown pain, she reportedly called the emergency services due to a headache.
A representative from Netflix’s film, Jung_E, said that the team is still figuring out what happened to the actress.
“We are assessing the current situation. Filming for the work has already been completed, and we are currently working on post-production,” the insider said.
Kang Soo Yeon’s Real Health Issue Revealed
While initial reports only divulged cardiac arrest as the cause of her loss of consciousness, Dispatch eventually stated that Kang Soo Yeon suffered from intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH).
According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, ICH occurs when a person’s blood vessels within the brain sustain damage and eventually burst. The event then causes a hemorrhage that can build up pressure and lead to brain damage, unconsciousness, or even death.
Her fans have since sent their warmest well wishes as they pray for her fast recovery.
Kang Soo Yeon set a record as an actress when she became the first Korean to win an award at an international film festival. In 1987, she won the Best Actress Award for her role in the movie, The Surrogate Woman at the 44th Venice International Film Festival.
Two years later, she brought home another international Best Actress Award from the 1989 Moscow International Film Festival.
