Kang Mi Na is among the South Korean stars who made a name in the music and acting industry after joining the girl group Gugudan and eventually landing various roles in K-dramas.
The 22-year-old beauty recently starred in the comedy crime K-drama Cafe Minamdang starring Seo In Guk and Oh Yeon Seo.

From Idol to Budding Actress
After Kang Mi Na graduated from the Seoul Performing Arts School majoring in practical dance, she joined Mnet survival show Produce 101 in 2016 together with Kim Sejeong and Kim Nayoung.
Fortunately, she became one of the official members of the group, 101 together with Lim Na Young, Kim Chung Ha, Jung Chae Yeon, Zhou Jieqiong, Kim So Hye, Yoo Yeon Jung, Choi Yoo Jung, Kim Do Yeon, Jeon Somi and of course Kim Sejeong.
After releasing their first album Chrysalis, with the title track Dream Girls, followed by hit songs one after another, Kang Mi Na became part of the then-upcoming girl-group, Gugudan in 2017.

In the same year, Kang Mi Na had her first ever K-drama appearance through the rom-com 20th Century Boy and Girl, playing the role of Han Ye Seul.
From then on, she continued being an actress landing lead roles in Dokgo Rewind, Mama Fairy and the Woodcutter, Moonshine, and being part of the hit K-drama Hotel Del Luna.
Kang Mi Na also had a cameo role in Jang Ki Yong and Hyeri’s My Roommate Is a Gumiho, and took the role of Kim Do Hwan’s ex-girlfriend Choi Jin Ah.

It is a part of Seezn’s original omnibus K-drama Midnight Horror: 6 Nights.
“She will be displaying a new kind of charm that she hasn’t shown in [her other acting projects] up until now,” Kang Mi Na’s agency shared.
The upcoming horror series will be her next project after Cafe Minamdang.
