Kanan Headed Deeper Into The Gray Side of The Force in Star Wars Rebels

It looks like Kanan's going to go deeper into the Grey Side of the Force as Star Wars Rebels season 3 continues.

While the series has been bringing a lot of attention to Ezra's conflict with the Dark Side, Star Wars Rebels has also been taking more time to explore a less-discussed aspect of the Force: the Grey Side. Voiced by Freddie Prinze Jr. in the animated series, Kanan has gone through many changes since he was blinded by Maul in the season 2 finale of Star Wars Rebels. The Jedi has been growing stronger in the first half of season 3 after meeting Grey Force user Bendu, and Prinze teases that the Jedi is going to explore the Grey Side even further in what seems to be some sort of "ascension."

Discussing the character's possible growth with Comicbook writer Lucas Siegel in Twitter, Kanan's voice actor hints that Kanan could be moving on further into the Grey Side as he takes on the idea of Bendu.

Check out the Prinze's conversation with Siegel below.

For some reason Kanan feels more like Yoda now that he's let go of his fear. After discovering the Grey Side, Kanan has become more calm, patient, and full of wisdom. With Kanan headed deeper into middleground, will fans get to see a new Grey Jedi master? Let's wait and see as Star Wars Rebels continues.

Star Wars Rebels airs on Disney XD every Saturday at 8:30 pm ET/PT.
