g.o.d will continue its legacy in the K-pop industry.

While most of the 1990s and 2000s idol groups had already disbanded, g.o.d continues to promote and release music for their fans. Due to their unmatched performances, it earned the nicknames "million seller" and "nation's idol."

Decades after its debut, g.o.d — or Groove Over Dose — will meet everyone personally again.

g.o.d Confirms Upcoming Concert

The Korea Herald quoted the statement released by the organizer of g.o.d's concert, IOK Co. It was disclosed that the five members of the idol group would come together after four years to perform together in a three-day concert.

Park Joon Hyung, Yoon Kye Sang, DannyAhn, Kim Tae Woo, and Son Ho Young are meeting their fans at KSPO Dome at Olympic Park starting December 9.

Aside from being a reunion concert, it will also serve as their first performance in four years after reuniting for the Greatest concert as part of its 20th debut anniversary celebration. IOK officials hinted at memorable nights with the quintet after the members went through hardships due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

It would also be a great gift for everyone before its 25th anniversary.

"The g.o.d members, who have been actively pursuing their careers in diverse fields ranging from singing to acting, will show off decent performances and share their bright energy with their followers, who could not see them in person over the past few years due to the COVID-19 pandemic," IOK said, per The Korea Times.

Park Joon Hyung Opens Up About Exiting g.o.d

The concert would happen over a year since g.o.d leader, Park Joon Hyung, spoke about his ousting from the group.

For what it's worth, he sparked condemnation in 2001 when rumors about his and actress Han Go Eun's romance emerged.

He revealed in YouTube's K-pop documentary series, K-pop Evolution, that he was one of the first idols who confirmed a relationship. He added that idols should never be criticized for dating someone.

"I was actually the first "gateway" to come out and say, 'Hey man. It's a natural thing for a boy and a girl to like each other, and hold hands and go on a date.' I was already 31 or 32 in Korean age. I did have a girlfriend at the time and I came out with it and our company decided to kick me out of the group," he said.

Park Joon Hyung regrouped with the four members in 2014 under SidusHQ after the quartet moved to JYP.
