Justice League's Zack Snyder Reveals Which Marvel Movie He'd Like to Make


For many people, Zack Snyder is DC's ‘poster child' as he has worked on some of the DC films. The director is a major fan of comics, no matter who the publisher is. Snyder's director's cut for Justice League is nearing its release, the director revealed a project that may want to work on Marvel if he would be given the opportunity.

His dream idea for a Marvel movie features an underutilized antihero or villain. Zack Snyder is a filmmaker who is well-known for his unique vision and his take on epic stories. Over the past few years, the director has become synonymous with the DC Extended Universe, especially with the upcoming release of his cut of Justice League. The director is popular with fans of the superhero genre and it is not entirely impossible that he won't work with Marvel. James Gunn was able to work with both Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy and DC's The Suicide Squad.

Snyder revealed that he might be interested in a Marvel story. Speaking with the ComicBook Debate, Snyder was given the chance to present his elevator pitch for a Marvel project, with an unusual central figure in mind. Snyder said, "I would choose Elektra Lives Again."

The director referenced the 1990 Frank Miller work that had Daredevil on-and-off lover, which seemingly returned from her early grave. Snyder added, "Daredevil is having these dreams about Elektra coming back to life, and it's really cool and weird…It's just cool, and beautiful. That's what I would do. No one cares, but that's what I would do."

This instance may just be a simple discussion but it has been known that DC and Marvel/Disney were open with their directors switching from one studio to the other. Aside from James Gunn. Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins is making a Star Wars movie titled, Star Wars: Rogue Squadron. Jenkins will be working on Rogue Squadron after the release of Wonder Woman 1984. She will once again come back to DC to work with Wonder Woman 3. James Gunn is working with DC's The Suicide Squad, before going back to the MCU and direct Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

Meanwhile, Snyder is busy on Justice League's release in March for HBO Max and his Army of the Dead prequel for Netflix has finished its filming.
