Jurassic World 3 is Bringing Back The Three Main Stars of Jurassic Park

Jurassic World continues to be an unexpected success, with the first two movies making a ton of money, despite being average blockbusters that bank more on nostalgia than Disney's Star Wars films. It seems like the nostalgia pandering isn't limited to the second film's use of Jeff Goldblum since Jurassic World 3, which still doesn't have a title, will feature the main leads from Jurassic Park.

Thanks to tweets from Collider, we now know that Laura Dern and Sam Neil are joining Jeff Goldblum for Jurassic World 3. This should please fans who were saddened when Goldblum's appearance in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom was essentially an extended cameo. It's not yet known how prominent they will be but the fact that they are reprising their roles should mean something meaty for them.

Early prediction: Sam Neil's Alan Grant will get eaten by a dinosaur. Because "let the past die."

Considering how popular the Jurassic World series has proven to be, we're surprised that they only got Dern and Neil now. It could be argued that Laura Dern was busy shooting The Last Jedi but what was Sam Neil doing all this time? That short cameo in Thor: Ragnarok doesn't count guys.

While I'm not a huge fan of the Jurassic World franchise, it is nice seeing these actors back together. Like many others, I do have a lot of nostalgia for the original Jurassic Park and I'm slightly interested to see the third film, even though I skipped the second installment.

Jurassic World 3 might be coming out on June 21, 2021, though that release date isn't definitive yet.
