Jurassic World 3: Colin Trevorrow Shares Look at Baby Triceratops

Colin Trevorrow may not have been allowed to finish his Star Wars movie, but he's bring brought back to finish the Jurassic World franchise. The movie is still set to come out next year, but we do have a little teaser of a baby Triceratops from Trevorrow.

Check it out:

While we know that there is a lot of dependence on CGI when it comes to the recent Jurassic films, it looks like Trevorrow will be making use of some practical effects for the movie—particularly with this tiny thing. I'm curious to see what else the film is going to try and bring to life with animatronics, since the first one famously built a practical life-sized T-Rex.

With a lot of people not loving The Rise of Skywalker, there seems to be a lot of new appreciation for Trevorrow—especially counting that his leaked script for Duel of the Fates felt like a better follow-up to The Last Jedi. With his latest movie being a flop, I am hoping that he gets to redeem himself when it comes to Jurassic World 3. At some point, the new Jurassic movies have kind of mirrored Star Wars, seeing that the first and third films have brought back the same director. Fingers crossed Trevorrow won't slip up like Abrams did.

We don't know when a first trailer will drop for Jurassic 3, but with a June 2021 release date, we could get something later in the year. Best bet is SDCC in July. In the meantime, you can watch the short Battle at Big Rock now on Youtube.

Catch Jurassic World 3 when it comes out June 11, 2021.
