Jung Ho Yeon, like many other Koreans, is a huge fan of K-pop.
At the young age of 14, Jung Ho Yeon started appearing as a freelance model until she got the chance to be part of the Seoul Fashion Week for two years. She expanded her modeling career by joining Korea’s Next Top Model before leaving her home country to make her international runway debut.
Though she left South Korea before she was able to experience teenage life in the country, Jung Ho Yeon was also influenced by the Hallyu Wave that she was a K-pop fan before rising to fame.

She then surprised her fans when she named her favorite K-pop groups – but BLACKPINK is not one of them. Jung Ho Yeon has reportedly been a fan of 2NE1, Girls’ Generation, and BIGBANG, saying she has been following them since childhood.
Her response made fans’ hearts flutter, especially since they have also been fans of second-generation groups. But some also got surprised as she did not mention BLACKPINK, where her friend, Jennie, serves as one of the four members.
What is Jung Ho Yeon’s Relationship With Jennie?
Following the success of Squid Game, Jung Ho Yeon shocked fans when she uploaded a photo of her on the set of Netflix series alongside BLACKPINK’s Jennie. She reportedly attends all BLACKPINK concerts to support Jennie, while the K-pop idol often visits her.
Jung Ho Yeon told Teen Vogue that they first met at Paris Fashion Week and have become inseparable since then.
“Jennie came to see the Chanel show, and I was on the runway. Jennie’s stylist knew us both so we coincidentally came across and were introduced to each other,” the actress said. “I remember Jennie had a concert in New York, so I went to that concert and we hung out. After that, we would also hang out in Korea when we were there and we would have meals together.”
Though BLACKPINK is not on Jung Ho Yeon’s favorite K-pop groups list yet, the actress surely established a close and unmatched friendship with Jennie already.
