Jung Hae In to Play New Character in Veteran 2

In a report cited by Soompi, a representative from Jung Hae In’s agency, FNC Entertainment, confirmed that the actor is courted to join the cast.

“Jung Hae In has received an offer to star in the film ‘Veteran 2,’ and he is currently reviewing the offer,” the talent label mentioned.

If he officially accepts the offer, the South Korean star will be Yoo Ah In’s successor as he is set to play a villain role.

To recall, Veteran, which was released in 2015 was among the year’s box office hits, garnering more than 13.41 million audiences.

Seven years after the film, some of the viewers will see familiar faces including lead star Hwang Jung Min who will reprise his role as Detective Seo Do Cheol.

Meanwhile, Veteran 2 will be directed by Ryu Seung Wan, who also helmed the 2015 Veteran, The Battleship Island, and the award-winning movie Escape from Mogadishu.

In addition, the sequel will be produced by Waeyoonaegang, who was also the company behind Jung Hae In’s film Start-Up.

Furthermore, while the movie officials prepare the cast lineup, Veteran 2 is slated to start its production in the second half of 2022.
