After a decade of being with the agency Culture Warehouse, Jun Ji Hyun is set to part ways with the talent label.

The Hallyu star has been with the agency since 2012, and after ten long years, she has decided not to renew her contract.

Jun Ji Hyun Part Ways with Culture Warehouse

According to Sports Chosun, a representative from Culture Warehouse confirmed that the actress’ contract with the management is until the end of June.

In addition, the company’s CEO Kim Seon Jung will be leaving Studio Dragon, the parent company of Culture Warehouse.

Following this, reports also noted that the Jirisan star would make a new start as a stand-alone.

However, AllKpop cited that the actress is yet to confirm if she will be a free agent or “will move to a new agency with CEO Kim Seon Jung,” whom Jun Ji Hyun has known for a long time.

Culture Warehouse is among the top-tier talent agencies in South Korea that house several big names in the industry.

In 2021, Kim So Hyun officially signed an exclusive contract and joined Seo Ji Hye, Tomorrow’s Yun Ji On, Yoon Ji Min, and Han Dong Ho.

From My Sassy Girl to Top Hallyu Star

Considered one of the top stars in K-dramaland, the 40-year-old actress has been showing her supremacy being among the sought-after female leads.

Jun Ji Hyun recently starred in the thriller mystery series Jirisan and was reunited with Joo Ji Hyun, whom she worked with in the blockbuster series Kingdom.

Interestingly, one of her comeback projects is the spin-off of the Netflix series, reprising her role as Ashin.

Kingdom: Ashis of the North is a 1 hour and 30 min long movie that follows the story of the mysterious character named Ashin and her connection with the plague that spread through the northern region.

Prior to this, the Hallyu actress has a long list of notable K-dramas and movies under her belt.

She is best known as the feisty drunken girl in the 2001 film My Sassy Girl alongside Cha Tae Hyun.

Interestingly, she reprised her role on Windstruck opposite her then-label mate Jang Hyuk.

From then on, viewers saw Jun Ji Hyun blossom into a top star, appearing in blockbuster movies like The Thieves, Assassination and rom-com series such as My Love from the Star with Kim Soo Hyun and The Legend of the Blue Sea opposite Lee Min Ho.

Jun Ji Hyun as the Real Estate Goddess

Apart from her high-flying career, she is also one of the celebrities with a jaw-dropping real estate portfolio.

Earlier this 2022, she recently bought a three-story shopping mall in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu in Seoul.

According to local media outlet Biz Korea, the property has a whopping value of o50.5 billion won or 41,000,000 USD.

Interestingly, this is just among Jun Ji Hyun’s real estate, as the actress also owns four real estate properties in Seoul which include three commercial real estate houses and a newly purchased shopping district in Deungchon-dong.
