Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 is trending yet again, this time thanks to the impressive fight between Mahito and the Yuji-Todo duo. Instead of being a shot-for-shot recreation of the manga, the new Jujutsu Kaisen episode featured an original Aoi Todo scene that fans think should be his Domain Expansion.
The manga’s version of the events flowed fast, but the anime’s staff extended the fight scene creatively and hilariously, based on fan reactions.

Aoi Todo Versus Mahito Gets Extended in the Best Way Possible
The latest Jujutsu Kaisen episode started with Mahito using his techniques to divide Yuji and Todo. This doesn’t work as Todo makes quick work of the transfigured humans.
Thus, Mahito activates his Domain Expansion in a similar way to Gojo so he won’t get killed by Sukuna. Todo does a Simple Domain in response, but it’s not enough as Mahito grabs a hold of his arm.
Todo loses his arm and gets hit by a strong Black Flash. Even though he’s nearly beaten, Todo gets a second wind after seeing his locket fall.
In the manga, this scene simply shows Todo’s locket, which features an image of Yuji Itadori and his favorite idol, Nobuko Takada aka Takada-chan. He then proceeds to attack Mahito.
As for the anime’s version of the events, the episode went all-out as it featured an original scene that brings Takada-chan into the mix.
The scene essentially becomes a music video where Todo imagines himself teaming up with Takada-chan to beat up Mahito.

Jujutsu Kaisen Fans Think Aoi Todo Idol Moment Should Be His Domain Expansion
This was an unexpected addition, but it was a welcome one based on fans’ reactions. Many were impressed by the lengths the staff went through to enhance the fight scene.
Some fans even said that this would be the perfect Domain Expansion for Todo. After all, Todo has only been shown using a Simple Domain, so this idol Takada-chan music video scene is a perfect fit if he ever develops a proper Domain.
This might seem too weird to be a Domain, but that’s not the case in the series, especially in the manga’s Culling Game arc. That part of the story will feature even wilder Domains.
In the meantime, fans can see how the Shibuya Incident will continue in the next Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 episode, which will be released next week.
