To further drum up hype for the series, Shonen Jump recently had Jujutsu Kaisen take over Shibuya in Tokyo in an impressive live-action promo video.
The promo video was released on the Jump official YouTube channel and shared on the Jujutsu Kaisen official Twitter account. The video showed animated clips of the manga panels on various screens all over Shibuya.

In the video, you can see 13 screens in and around the iconic Shibuya Scramble Crossing flash clips of a special Jujutsu Kaisen promo video in sync.
It’s an impressive sight to behold, especially for series fans. After all, not only do the clips highlight some of the series’ latest events, but it also takes place in Shibuya where the events of the Shibuya Incident arc occur.
In case you need a refresher, the Shibuya Incident is a pivotal moment in the series, and it is also the longest arc to date. The events of the arc show the main villains enacting their plan to seal Gojo Satoru.
As for what the video is promoting, this was made to promote the release of volume 20 and to mark the series reaching 70 million copies in circulation.
With Jujutsu Kaisen having over 70 million copies in circulation, this makes it among the bestselling manga of all time.
Aside from being a top-selling manga, the series’ anime adaptations have also proven to be big hits. For instance, the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie is also a major box office success.
In case you’re unfamiliar, Jujutsu Kaisen is a manga series by Gege Akutami that serializes in Weekly Shonen Jump. The series is popular enough that it got an anime series adaptation by studio MAPPA.
A prequel movie was also released which adapts the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 single-volume manga that explores the events that happened before the main series.
Season 2 of the anime series is set to release sometime in 2023.
