Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has a new episode, and it’s once again at the center of anime discussions online. On top of the praise that fans are giving the show’s staff, Jujutsu Kaisen Skyfall edits are also taking over the online anime world.

By Skyfall, we mean the song by Adele for the 2012 James Bond movie of the same name.

Jujutsu Kaisen and Adele may be an odd combo, but there’s a surprisingly good reason for it based on Mahito and Yuji’s memorable sequence.

The latest Jujutsu Kaisen episode picks up right where the last one left off as Yuji and Todo continue their fight against Mahito.

Despite being a formidable duo, Mahito just refuses to stay down. Not only is he able to seriously injure Todo, but Yuji’s Black Flash also powers him up instead of taking him down.

In the end, Yuji’s strength and determination are too much, even for Mahito. With Todo’s help, Yuji lands a full-power Black Flash, thus defeating Mahito.

Instead of facing death head-on, Mahito crawls away whimpering, all while Yuji menacingly follows. Yuji tells Mahito that they are indeed the same. He also says that he’ll kill Mahito as many times as he needs to.

This was a memorable moment in the manga that many readers have wanted to see for a long time in the anime. Finally, it’s here, and fans have showered the show’s staff with praise as the anime did the original scene justice.

Most fans are satisfied with the scene, but this hasn’t stopped them from working on edited versions featuring Adele’s hit song.

If you go on X (formerly Twitter) or TikTok right now, chances are that you’ll come across edits of the Mahito and Yuji scene with Adele’s song, Skyfall, for James Bond.

This might be a random mash-up, but it has been a bit of a meme among fans for some time now.

The meme possibly started with fan-made edits of the Mahito and Yuji scene from the manga with Adele’s song in the background.

Skyfall is likely used as its lyrics somewhat parallel Yuji’s words to Mahito such as the line “wherever you go, I go.” It’s also possible that the song’s overall vibe fits the scene well.

This meme has become so widespread that many fans call Skyfall Yuji Itadori’s unofficial theme song.

Given how much fun fans are having with the anime, it’ll be interesting if the fanbase cooks up even more hilarious memes and edits when the next Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 episode is released.
