Toji Fushiguro: The Sorcerer Killer
Toji Fushiguro, originally known as Toji Zenin, is a former member of the Zenin family. He is also the father of Megumi Fushiguro and an enemy of Satoru Gojo.
Toji uses his skills to make a living. He is an assassin who is known as the Sorcerer Killer. As such, he has tons of assignments from shady clients.
When he eventually got married, he left his wife almost immediately, leaving his newborn child behind.
To fully cut his connections with the Zenin clan, he used the surname of his wife, which is Fushiguro.
He eventually sold Megumi, his son, to the Zenin family as he believed that he has the potential to become a powerful sorcerer.
Like Maki Zenin, Toji is a non-sorcerer. This means he has no innate talent for jujutsu.
Given this flaw, he worked very hard to become one of the most elite fighters in the series.
He could even defeat special-grade jujutsu sorcerers, including a young Satoru Gojo.
Despite his overwhelming skills, he still received harsh treatment from his family, causing him to hate the jujutsu world.
This anger inside him is also the reason he hated Gojo, one of the strongest sorcerers in the entire Jujutsu Kaisen series.
So, Is Toji Fushiguro a Villain?
It has been confirmed by Takehito Koyasu, the voice actor of Toji Fushiguro, that the character will be the villain in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2.
In an interview, he mentioned that "from the story's point of view, he will be a villain".
Based on Toji’s actions, like working with shady clients and selling his own child, it's quite expected that he will become a villain.
He also returns from the dead through Ogami’s Séance Technique, making him a formidable foe once more.
He attacks anywhere he sees and focuses on fighting the strongest opponent, possibly because of his desire to beat the adult Gojo.
He also endangers Megumi, his son, because of his aggression.
While he isn’t as evil as the other villains in Jujutsu Kaisen, Toji is still considered a villain as he opposes the jujutsu world and everything related to it.
