Jujutsu Kaisen Anime Covers Nobara’s Heartbreaking Final Moments
This latest Jujutsu Kaisen episode started with Nobara facing Mahito’s clone. Upon realizing her opponent's lack of power, Nobara went on the offensive, forcing the clone to flee.
Nobara gave chase until the clone crossed paths with the real Mahito. Upon realizing what's about to happen, the chasing Yuji Itadori screams out to Nobara, but he’s too late.
A flashback is then shown, which gives viewers a look at Nobara’s life in her small town with Saori and Fumi. Fans noted that this is a huge death flag, and they were right.
What followed was a scene where Nobara imagined the friends she made at Jujutsu High sitting in chairs. With a smile on her face, the scene shifts back to the real world, with Nobara telling Yuji that her life wasn’t all bad.
Nobara’s face then explodes as she is touched by Mahito. The episode then ends with Nobara seemingly dead.
Nobara dying in full view of Yuji is already a tragic scene. What makes it even more heartbreaking is the symbolism in the chair scene.

Fans Notice Jujutsu Kaisen Chairs Symbolism: What It Means
Some fans noted that the chair scene in the latest Jujutsu Kaisen episode is an excellent portrayal of Nobara’s inner feelings.
As noted by X user @SUGURVS, the empty chairs symbolize how Nobara has put up walls around people because of her childhood experiences in her small town.
She believes that some people can easily step over other people’s lives, hence no one has taken a seat in Nobara’s mind. But the scene shows her friends in Jujutsu High having brought their own seats.
This means she has formed bonds with her newfound friends, thus, she tells Yuji that her life wasn’t all bad.
Even though some fans believe that Nobara’s seeming death came out of nowhere, it’s undeniable that the chair scene’s deeper meaning makes the moment incredibly moving.
