Jujutsu Kaisen: MAPPA Celebrates Yuji Itadori's Birthday With New Art Featuring Nanami

Happy Birthday, Yuji Itadori! The protagonist of the main Jujutsu Kaisen series celebrates his day of birth on March 20 and fans were quick to rejoice. Amazingly, MAPPA decided to honor Yuji with a new artwork that also features the usually stoic Kento Nanami in celebration mode!

The new key art was shared by the MAPPA Twitter account to celebrate Yuji Itadori's birthday. In the illustration, Yuji appears to be dropping his cake while the other Jujutsu Kaisen characters celebrate behind him. In addition to his good friends Megumi Fushiguro and Nobara Kugisaki, Yuji is joined by his mentors Satoru Gojo and Kento Nanami. Check it out below.

It's a great illustration and MAPPA is quick to point out that Nanami has joined the celebration. This is an important detail considering that the salaryman could rarely be bothered for such events but it's reassuring to see him with the rest of the Jujutsu Kaisen character. For anime-only fans, this is all we're gonna say about the matter.

We're loving the idea that Jujutsu Kaisen and MAPPA are still taking time to honor the main series' protagonist considering that Yuta Okkotsu is currently on a roll. The main character in the prequel Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has been getting the spotlight for some time now, thanks to the success of the anime film and the manga's Sendai Colony arc. Nevertheless, it looks like there's enough room for all of our beloved Jujutsu Kaisen characters.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 was finally released internationally last week, much to the delight of fans around the world. Not surprisingly, the film has been doing well over its opening weekend in North America and is expected to earn around $19 million in the domestic box office.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is now screening in theaters around the world.
