Ahead of this week’s episode, fans around the world were excited as Yuji and Choso’s fight was one of the highlights of the Shibuya Incident.

Even with all the hype, the latest Jujutsu Kaisen episode delivered as it featured incredible fight animation along with some creative flourishes that delighted fans.

Some are already calling it the best fight in the anime so far. The reception was so great that both the show and the two characters became huge trending topics on X (formerly Twitter).

It may have seemed that the show has peaked here, but we’re only a bit over halfway through the new season. The rest of the Shibuya Incident arc episodes promise to be just as exciting, or perhaps even more.

In their recent interview, Daisuke Namikawa revealed that he had to re-record certain lines many times. These lines include the parts where Choso’s brothers appear on screen.

Namikawa mentioned that he had to record several versions of the scene. Some of these he delivered with a heavier tone, but he tried to go with a lighter feeling in other takes.

Choso’s VA wasn’t the only one that got attention from the director. Yuji Itadori VA Junya Enoki revealed that he got specific directions from the recording director as well.

Given that it’s a fight with a lot of monologues, it was a challenge to record compared to a more straightforward dialogue scene. Despite the difficulty, the two managed to pull it off well.

Thanks to this, fans can’t wait for the next Jujutsu Kaisen episode which will be released next week.
