Only a few days left and Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is about to hit the Japanese theaters in a prequel movie full of curses and action. The official runtime of the film has been released, ample time to tell a whole story of what happened before the events of the anime TV series. Still without a confirmation on its international release date, hopes are still high that it would be out globally.
Gege Akutami and the rest of the team have been putting a lot of effort into the very first Jujutsu Kaisen movie and the official runtime of the film has been revealed on their official website wherein it would be less than two hours, exactly 105 minutes long.
On Christmas eve, fans in Japan will have the chance to watch this new masterpiece of Gege Akutami and team as Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will be out in theaters on the said date, a perfect Christmas present for the fans of the anime title. However, the movie is yet to have an international release date and fans are hoping for an early 2022 release which is not impossible considering the popularity of the title.
The movie, being a prequel, Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will follow the story of the events before that of the original manga with the character of Yuta, who is the childhood best friend of Rika who got killed in a car accident, haunting Yuta with her cursed spirit. Once Yuta arrived at the Jujutsu Academy, he encounters Gojo who teaches him how to manage the spirit.
Jujutsu Kaisen is from the pages of the Japanese supernatural shōnen manga series of the same name by Gege Akutami published in Shueisha's Weekly Shōnen Jump in March 2018. It also has a light novel series. Jujutsu Kaisen anime series is available online through Crunchyroll in its original Japanese audio with English subtitles for the price of $9.99 a month, or $79.99 a year.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will be released on December 24, 2021 in Japan, the perfect Christmas treat for the occult-loving. There is no international release date yet.
