We already know that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is getting a movie adaptation and we now have the first teaser for the highly anticipated anime film. In addition to that, the voice cast has finally been revealed.
The Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie teaser is simple yet stunning as it starts out with an intense look at a ring before we see Rika Orimoto and a young Yuta Okkotsu. As the camera spins around them, an older Yuta is revealed as he prepares for action.
It's interesting that the teaser doesn't reveal too much about the upcoming anime film. Nevertheless, it's enough to get us all hyped up for the movie considering that it also confirms the film's voice cast.
The teaser confirms that Megumi Ogata will provide the voice of Yuta. The other cast members include Mikako Komatsu, Koki Uchiyama, Tomokazu Seki, Yuichi Nakamura, and Takahiro Sakurai.
Gekijō-ban Jujutsu Kaisen 0 or Jujutsu Kaisen 0 The Movie will be directed by The God of High School TV's Sung Hoo Park while the anime's screenwriter Hiroshi Seko will return for the film. Likewise, Tadashi Hiramatsu will work on character designs and Yui Umemoto will once again serve as assistant director. Yoshimasa Terui, who has also worked on the anime, returns to write music for the teaser.
The movie is based on Gege Akutami's prequel series to the main manga. Jujutsu Kaisen 0 follows Yuta Okkotsu, a high school student who is plagued by his childhood friend Rika who has turned into a Curse. With the help of Saturo Gojo, Yuta learns about a school for fledgling exorcists and tries to figure out how to rid himself of the Curse.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 The Movie is scheduled for release in Japan on December 24, 2021.
