Jujutsu Kaisen 0 Director Hypes Up Nanami's Awesome Original Scene

There is little doubt that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 stayed faithful to the manga it was based on but the anime film also made a few awesome alternations. For instance, Kento Nanami makes a surprise appearance in the movie although his involvement in the Cursed Child arc was only referenced in the manga. And what an appearance it is! Director Sunghoo Park is hyping up Nanami's special scene in the film!

Sunghoo Park spoke to Anime News Network where he discussed what it was like working on Jujutsu Kaisen 0. Park confirmed that he and his team took certain liberties to make the movie a "must-watch" for fans.

"Since this was a theater version, we added original elements to the film, including parts between frames that were not depicted in the original work, in order to bring joy to the audience," Park said. "We also depicted scenes that were mentioned in the TV animation series but not specifically depicted, so we hope fans will enjoy watching them."

Park continued then pointed out the record Kento Nanami set in Jujutsu Kaisen that was only referenced but we never got to see in action.

"For example, the four consecutive Black Flashes that Nanami mentioned in an interview in the TV series were not specifically depicted in the original work, but they are depicted in The Night Parade of a Hundred Demons scene in Kyoto this time," he said. "Please look forward to seeing the members of Kyoto Jujutsu High. There are also other scenes that are not in the original work, such as the scenes of Okkotsu and Rika's childhood, so we hope you will look out for them."

In the anime, it was already confirmed that Nanami held the record of four consecutive Black Flashes but this was broken by Yuji Itadori when he and Aoi Todo faced off against Hanami. We have always been curious about Nanami's "lucky" break and seeing it is certainly one of the best things about the movie.

Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is now screening in theaters worldwide.
