There is little doubt that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 is all about Yuta Okkotsu and how he finally deals with the curse from his late girlfriend Rika Orimoto. However, that isn't the only thing that is dealt with in the film as well as the manga. At some point, Satoru Gojo learns that his friend Suguru Geto wants to use Yuta's special-grade curse to change the world and his reaction is understandable. Now director Park Sunghoo has spoken up about Gojo's true feelings about what happened in the movie!
Park Sunghoo is one person who should know a lot about Satoru Gojo. After all, he directed the anime's first season as well as Jujutsu Kaisen 0. In an interview, Park shared Gojo's thoughts when it was slowly revealed that Geto was out to get Okkotsu.
"Gojo must have hoped that Geto would not be the one attacking Okkotsu and others behind the scene. Then, when they meet again at the technical college, the hope was shattered and the fact that Geto is the mastermind becomes inevitable," Park said. He then adds that this entire situation gives fans a glimpse at the true Gojo.
"Gojo worries again when Geto, the reason for his emotional wound, appears in front of him. I think Gojo’s humanity is reflected in this series of events," Park stated.
It's an interesting way to put it considering that people always view Gojo as a quirky, usually wacky character despite his amazing powers. Still, it is once again proving that there is still so much to learn about the sorcerer.
Bot Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto are set to return in Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 despite what happened in the film. The anime's second season has not yet been given an official release date. Stay tuned for more updates on this story.
