Jordan Peele Shares Teaser for an All-New The Twilight Zone, Will Host and Narrate

Jordan Peele may have made his name working on comedy, but after the release of Get Out, he has suddenly found himself skyrocketed to the A-List. Just now, Peele shares the first teaser for an upcoming revival of The Twilight Zone series.

Check it out:

Peele is set to host and narrate the series for CBS, and he'll be taking over the role that made Rod Serling famous back during the original run. Peele is also attached as an executive producer of the show, together with X-Men's Simon Kinberg.

Peele told Variety about the revival:

"The realization, for me, was that it was an opportunity to attempt to continue with Serling's mission… If we approach it without ego and sort of bow to Serling, that will hopefully suffice for our fellow ‘Twilight Zone' fans but also bring back a show that I think is needed right now. Because it's a show that has always helped us look at ourselves, hold a mirror up to society."

If you're unfamiliar, The Twilight Zone is actually an anthology series, meaning that each episode is its own contained story—much like today's Black Mirror. The show originally came out in the 60s and saw a revival in the 80s as well as the early 2000s. Now more than a decade later, the show is coming back, with one of the most celebrated directors in Hollywood attached to the project.

No premiere date has been set for The Twilight Zone revival, but the show is expected to come out sometime in 2019.
