As per TMZ, the domestic dispute occurred the night before the actor's arrest and left the unnamed woman with several visible injuries. Thankfully, she is now in stable condition after being taken to the hospital. Although the cops arrested Majors, as soon as the news broke, he was released from their custody without bail.

Now, the plot thickens as the Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania actor's defense attorney says Jonathan was maliciously accused by the said victim. In an official statement (via Variety), Priya Chaudhry claims that the actor is "completely innocent" and they have actual evidence to back him up.

Chaudhry said: "We are quickly gathering and presenting evidence to the District Attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped imminently. All the evidence proves that Mr. Majors is entirely innocent and did not assault her whatsoever."

The lawyer also added that the alleged victim was having an "emotional crisis" and that she recanted the allegations. She said: "Unfortunately, this incident came about because this woman was having an emotional crisis, for which she was taken to a hospital yesterday. The NYPD is required to make an arrest in these situations, and this is the only reason Mr. Majors was arrested. We expect these charges to be dropped soon."
