Disney is remaking another animated classic into a live-action film, and it's a fan favorite: Lion King. Walt Disney Studios has offiically announced that Jon Favreau (Iron Man, The Jungle Book) will direct a new adaptation of The Lion King. I wouldn't really call this "live-action" since it's going to be a life-like CG-animated film. The film will adapt the same classic story and will include original music and songs.

Favreau did a good job with The Jungle Book, and he's also set to direct its sequel. While some fans would be interested in seeing The Lion King in CGI form, I think it's lame that Disney is translating classic animated films like this into live-action.
