Joker: Set Photos Show Signs Blaming Thomas Wayne

Yesterday some footage had dropped from the set of Joker with the Clown Prince of Crime inciting a riot at a train station. Some other people were dressed up as clowns and holding signs, and a closer look reveals that the entire riot was planned to call out Thomas Wayne.

Check these out:

By the looks of it, Wayne is running for mayor in the movie, and the Joker has rallied up some people to go against him. There are even signs saying "Clown4Mayor." I'm guessing people will start calling him Clown first before we get the iconic Joker moniker.

There are also some misspelled campaign posters for Thomas "Wanye." I honestly saw those pics earlier but thought they were fake as the misspelling is so glaring. Now it looks like they were actually posters put up by the Joker and his gang.

Some people are looking into the film, and thinking that this backlash on Wayne could be some political commentary on the movie. If Star Wars is any example, I think a lot of people wouldn't be happy that politics is brought into a comic book film, but I think it's an interesting take that should be implemented in more of these films. Why can't we have comic book films that make us think?

Honestly, I'm getting really excited for this film; even more excited compared to the other DCEU entries like Aquaman and Wonder Woman 1984. Joaquin Phoenix looks absolutely crazy in the role, and I can't wait for the first trailer.

Joker is set to come out Oct. 4, 2019.
