Joker 2 Has Already Wrapped Filming; Fans Expect Film To Be Trash

DC fans had been skeptical when it came to news about Todd Phillips developing a Joker sequel titled Joker: Folie á Deux, specifically because of three things: Lady Gaga playing the role of Harley Quinn, the sequel portraying yet another movie for the toxic DC couple, and the Joker sequel being turned into a musical (which is the complete opposite of what Phillips' first film portrayed).

As fans have just gradually started warming up at the thought of the iconic pop singer taking the role of Quinn as her own in recent set photos alongside Joaquin Phoenix's Joker, DC fans were all but psyched when they had found out that Joker: Folie á Deux just wrapped up filming in a short amount of time.

For those unaware, the Joker sequel began filming back in early December last year, and has now completed filming, which makes Joker: Folie á Deux having been filmed in merely four months. While this may count as good news for some, the majority are unconvinced this would make a good sequel at all. Check out some of the fan reactions below:

There's no telling of the outcome that could root from this early filming ending. Considering it's a musical involving an actual singer on set, and with a promise of a different take on the 'toxic love story' between Quinn and the Joker, it's only natural for DC fans to react suspiciously as to how this happened. After all, it's quite rare for superhero films to end on a good note after taking a short amount of time to wrap up filming.

However, it is worth mentioning that just because Joker: Folie á Deux is done filming does not instantly mean the film is releasing earlier than expected.

There's the post-production process to consider, plus countering the possible reactions fans would have upon its preview screening night. As for whether or not Joker: Folie á Deux is setting up its failure or overall success, I guess we'll have to wait until the sequel comes out in theaters.
