The opening theme for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Season 5 has just been unleashed and it's a perfect fit for Jolyne Cujoh. The new song, which was unveiled along with the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean opening sequence, is also set to be released digitally on the same date that the anime premieres on Netflix!
The opening sequence, which was created by the animation studio Kamikaze Douga, was dropped during the special livestreaming fan event for JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Season 5. It was also announced that the opening theme titled Stone Ocean, which is performed by ichigo from Kishida Kyodan & The Akeboshi Rockets, will be made available digitally on December 1.
It's an action-packed opening sequence that stays true to the previous seasons' dynamic style and pace. However, it also adds a touch that is distinctly Jolyne and is an awesome way to start each episode.
We're loving the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Season 5 opening sequence but that's not the only big thing dropped at the fan event. It was also announced that veteran actor Tomokazu Seki will provide the voice of the villainous Enrico Pucci, who is responsible for Jolyne's imprisonment.
Seki is known for his work in some of the best anime right now. He provides the voice of Panda in Jujutsu Kaisen and portrayed the Wind Hashira Sanemi Shinazugawa in the first season of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. Needless to say, he is a welcome addition to Stone Ocean this year.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Season 5 follows Jolyne Cujoh as she is imprisoned at Green Dolphin Street Prison in Florida. While in prison, Jolyne is visited by her father Jotaro Kujo who gives her a mysterious pendant that awakens a great power within her. Jolyne then learns that she was framed for the crime by a disciple of DIO, who plans to kill her in the Aquarium.
The first 12 episodes of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean will premiere on Netflix on December 1, 2021.
