Johnny Depp and Amber Heard had a messy split, with the latter accusing the former of domestic abuse. However, based on her emails and text messages, Heard was still in love with Depp when she filed for divorce and a year after their divorce.
Johnny Depp Was Still Amber Heard's Subject Of Affection While Dating Elon Musk
Depp accused Heard of having an affair with the SpaceX and Tesla CEO "no later than one month" after their marriage in 2015. Musk's rep denied it.
On Wednesday, Heard's former talent agent and Lady Gaga's ex-fiance Christian Carino's pre-recorded video deposition was aired during the ongoing defamation trial of Depp's case against his ex-wife.
Carino confirmed that the Aquaman star "immediately" dated the billionaire tech-savvy after her split from the Pirates of the Caribbean actor. However, despite their romance, Heard had not moved on from Depp.
"Dealing with breakup. I hate when things go public. See I'm so sad," she emailed Carino on Aug. 7, 2017, Daily Mail reported.
Carino, who believed she was referring to her breakup with Musk, replied with, "You weren't in love with him. You told me 1,000 times you were just feeling space."
Depp's lawyer asked Carino whom he was referring to in his reply. "Elon," he said.
In another email, Heard wrote, "I know but I wanted time to grieve and recover in my own time."
In a separate email in the same conversation, she said, "I hate that, yet again a man lets me fall on the spikes by myself."
Carino asked, "How so?" Heard said, "They're mad at me for leaving them and put things this out there," referring to their story going public.
Gaga's ex offered unsolicited advice in his response if Heard really wanted to be away from the press.
"You could avoid all this if you stop dating uber famous people," he wrote.
When Depp's lawyer asked him about it, Carino said, if one wants to be away from media, then they should keep their distance from famous people.
Carino also shared to the court that Heard's feelings for Depp lingered even after she filed for divorce. There was even a time when she wanted to reconcile with the Hollywood Vampires musician even if she was already dating Musk.
"It's so f**ked up I just want to tell him that what they're telling him isn't true," Heard emailed Carino on July 14 of the same year.
"Please tell him I love him,' referring to Depp," Heard sent to Carino, who briefly served as Depp's agent, around the same time.
Despite the split, Heard's feelings for Depp had remained intense.
"I've written so many notes, can you give him one? I don't know how or where to start," her email to Carino on Aug. 16, 2017, read.
"Finally I am single, clear in my heart and mind. I just want him to know I loved him," she added.
However, after almost a year, Heard was back to thinking about Depp again.
"God I miss him," Heard messaged Carino, referring to Depp, on June 9, 2018, six months before she wrote the op-ed, which is the subject of Depp's defamation case against her.

Elon Musk Not Testifying In The Defamation Trial Involving Johnny Depp And Ex Amber Heard
Elon Musk and Amber Heard dated after her split from Johnny Depp. However, according to the SpaceX CEO's rep, their romance started after Heard and Depp's breakup.
"Elon and Amber didn't start seeing each other until May 2016, and even then it was infrequent. Their relationship didn’t become romantic until some time later," Musk's rep said, Vanity Fair reported.
Meanwhile, Musk's attorney Alex Spiro, told E! News Wednesday that the businessman would not be testifying in the defamation trial. He was listed as Heard's potential witness.
Some were sad because they were hoping that Musk could attest if there were bruises on Heard's face because they were together after the alleged "violent" fight between Depp and Heard. However, others said he made the right choice, and he was too busy for the exes' nonsense.
