Johnny Depp Fans Write Petition to Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2

For the past few months, the news mill has been littered with reports about Amber Heard and Johnny Depp's complicated ongoing legal battle. Last week, Heard asked her ex-husband to submit to a mental health evaluation as the first step in helping the Pirates of the Carribean actor fix his substance abuse.

Today, it seems like Depp's fans are taking the offensive against the Aquaman star, writing a petition asking Warner Brothers to remove Heard from the highly anticipated Aquaman sequel. The Fantastic Beasts actor's fans have begun a petition titled "Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2" on Change.org, demanding that Warner Brothers boot the actress out of the project because she has been a "proven domestic abuser."

"As Amber Heard is a known and proven domestic abuser, Warner Brothers and DC Entertainment should and must remove Heard from their Aquaman 2 film project," fans write in the petition, "They must not ignore the suffering of Heard's victims and must not glamorize a domestic abuser."

Right now, the petition has more than 37,000 signatures on Change.org. It cites Depp's $50 million lawsuit against his ex-wife where the Hollywood actor claims that he had been abused by Heard in the past. Aside from the lawsuit, the petition goes on to say that the Aquaman star has "systematically crusaded to ruin Depp in Hollywood," taking note of all of the claims that the actress has made against her ex.

The whole battle between Depp and Heard has been nothing but complicated. While Heard claims that she had been a victim of domestic violence, Depp says that these claims are false, filing a defamation suit against the actress. Meanwhile, outside of the reports that Depp had actually been victimized by his ex-wife, there are also claims saying that Depp tried to get Heard out of her Aquaman role.
