John Krasinski Reveals He's Voicing Superman in DC's League of Super Pets

One of the upcoming DC films that are set to be released is DC's League of Super-Pets, an animated film featuring a team of crime-fighting pets of DC superheroes. We know that Dwayne Johnson and Kevin Hart are voicing Krypto the Superdog and Ace the Bat-Hound, respectively. But people are wondering who will voice their owners Superman and Batman? Now, we know the answer to one of them.

In his tweet, John Krasinski revealed that he will be voicing Superman in DC's League of Super-Pets and shared the first-look photo of his character along with Krypto. He wrote in the caption, "Always wanted to do a buddy movie with @TheRock. Well, these are the roles we were born to play! (FYI... DJ’s the one with the tongue) @DCSuperPets!!"

Krasinski's casting in the film was announced last June, but his role was under wraps until now. Besides Johnson and Hart, also voicing the titular pets are Diego Luna (as Green Lantern's squirrel Chip), Natasha Lyonne (as The Flash's turtle Merton), and Vanessa Bayer (as Wonder Woman's pig PB). Meanwhile, the voice roles of the previously-announced cast members Kate McKinnon, Keanu Reeves, and Jameela Jamil are still unknown as of the moment. Marc Maron is also reportedly going to voice Lex Luthor. Jared Stern serves as the writer and director of the film.

With this part, it will be Krasinski's first-ever superhero role in his career. However, he was one of the actors who were in the running to play Captain America in the MCU (which we all know ended up going to Chris Evans). He is also currently the fan-favorite to play Reed Richards in the MCU's Fantastic Four along with his wife Emily Blunt as Sue Storm.
