Lucasfilm might have been a bit withholding when it came to Star Wars: The Last Jedi, but now that the film's only a couple of weeks away from its release it seems like the studio has decided to be more open with fans about what they should expect in the upcoming sequel trilogy installment.
One of these includes information on the fight scene between John Boyega's stormtrooper-turned Resistance Fighter and Gwendoline Christie's chrometriooper, Captain Phasma. Boyega just recently sat down with Kelly and Ryan on the US tv show Live with Kelly and Ryan (via Express) and on the show the British actor was asked what was the most epic scene in The Force Awakens sequel.
"It would be fighting Captain Phasma, played by Gwendoline Christie," hehe said. "(Christie) can fight you know?"
The Last Jedi trailer also showed-off a fiery fight sequence between the two characters, and according to the actor, Christie didn't need that much help doing the moves. The actress has played a female knight on Game of Thrones – so it would make sense that she'd be able to do the chops on The Last Jedi.
This is definitely good news for Star Wars fans. Everyone was excited when Lucasfilm announced that Christie would be playing the chrometrooper during The Force Awakens marketing campaign back in 2015, only to be disappointed by the character's lack of exposure in the movie.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas December 15, 2017.
